Our retreat Art of Communication takes place in Castelnuovo di Berardenga, in the beautiful Chianti region, just 15 minutes away from Siena. The residence is a renovated old furnace surrounded by lawns, a saltwater pool, and two small guest cottages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This residence regularly hosts small international groups for Nia, fostering an intimate atmosphere through its location and the hostess’s warm hospitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to its characteristics, it can only accommodate a limited number of people, making the experience intimate and providing the opportunity to get to know all the participants <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nestled within the grounds of the residence lies a tranquil oasis\u2014a saltwater pool embraced by expansive lawns. Here, trainees can unwind amidst the pool and the lush greenery that surrounds it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special care is taken in preparing the three meals included in the accommodation price: any specific dietary request will be respected, and the food is expertly prepared using local ingredients and traditional recipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INTENT:<\/strong> Create intimacy through somatic relationships Embody the Foundation of Nia <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Belt, the second level of Nia education, explores how to create healthy relationships through body-centered communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This intensive introduces the next set of 13 Nia principles, which focus on the 4 realms of body, mind, emotions and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the White Belt curriculum focuses entirely on awareness of physical sensation, Blue Belt applies these skills to explore internal sensations as perceived through – but distinct from – physical sensations in the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Belt Principle #1:<\/strong> The Joy of Being in Relationship, integrates the sensation of Joy with awareness that Joy is something outside the self, which we can invite into our physical experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, you’ll begin to deepen your ability to listen with clarity and sustain awareness of details outside your body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
